What do you love about Sphero?
I really appreciate Sphero because it provides a fun and engaging way for children to learn. It helps us reinforce our units of inquiry and allows students to develop important skills such as problem-solving, communication, and teamwork. These skills fall under our approaches to learning (ATLs) in the international baccalaureate program. Whether we're using one of our two indi class packs or one of our two BOLT power packs, this hands-on learning approach encourages students to use their imaginations while following a standards-based curriculum.

Sphero products offer an ecosystem of products that is appropriate across multiple age bands for K-12 education. The products can be used to create engaging and innovative lessons that support standards, computational thinking and problem-solving. Students find the challenges and activities fun, challenging, and engaging.

What do you love about Sphero?
Sphero has lessons that can transcend through all content areas and helps teach coding in the most fun and exciting ways. Sphero allows for block coding, which allows students to learn coding easily. There are so many lessons to teach students and allow them to learn to code and go through productive struggle. The fact that it will maneuver on water is also a great feature. The graphing feature is an advantage because students find it hard to understand graphs. I love that Sphero allows students to explore and still be interested in learning more things that Sphero can accomplish in science.

What do you love about Sphero?
As a science teacher, I love that with the Sphero, my students can be engaged with hands-on coding technology instead of just lecture, pencil, and paper. This brings another level of learning science to the classroom. It allows us to not only teach content in a different way but also use engineering practices to demonstrate phenomena, systems, processes, and problem-solving. It helps in increasing students' interest in pursuing STEM investigations and careers. In addition, I also love that Sphero is versatile. It can be used to improve any course in which the teacher wants to incorporate technology and coding to increase the level of critical thinking and problem-solving connections.
