In the indi: Jurassic Journey Event, students tap into their creativity and collaborate with others to learn about dinosaurs, design a beautiful landscape, and apply their computational thinking skills.

This Event invites teams of up to five students (born after May 1, 2015, ages 8 and younger) to compete in a time-travel adventure. The Sphero Global Challenge allows students to compete with their peers around the world, with the top teams invited to participate in our Sphero World Championships (SWC) in Spring 2025, where they can put their skills to the ultimate test.

There is no need for coaches to be expert programmers! As mission facilitators, they'll guide students to explore, solve problems, and let their creativity shine.

About the Adventurous Event
The indi: Jurassic Journey Event challenges students to sharpen computational thinking and teamwork skills while showcasing their creative genius to show what they know about dinosaurs.

Coaching materials will be available after redeeming your team’s code on the Sphero Global Challenge Registration Site.

indi: Jurassic Journey!

indi can do a lot of amazing things–but can indi travel through time!?

In this year’s Sphero Global Challenge, teams will create a time traveling machine to transport indi to the past where indi will follow a dinosaur around for a day.
Teams will tap into their creativity and collaborate with others to learn about dinosaurs, design a beautiful landscape, and apply their computational thinking skills.

Gather Your Chrononaut Crew!

Starting a team to embark on a journey through time is easier than you think!

The Coaching Guide will give you the tools and structure to guide students through the indi: Jurassic Journey Event. The Sphero Global Challenge is perfect for after-school programs, STEM/STEAM Clubs, school-day science blocks, or even for students to work on at home.

Structuring Your Team

Teams can consist of 1–5 students. After purchasing the registration, you will be emailed a redemption code, which you can use to register your team on the official Sphero Global Challenge site. For larger groups, we recommend forming multiple teams. In this case, you need to purchase a registration and enter a redemption code for each team separately. Coaches are welcome to lead as many teams as they'd like.

A Challenge That’s FUN

“Be ready for a challenge, but it's a really fun one. You should still do it even if you don’t know how to code. Overcoming all the unexpected challenges and figuring it out is the best part.”

–Team 23983A, The Sphero Heroes
